Purpose of Fundraisers: At William Ellis Middle School we are continually looking at ways to serve all students. Many of our projects have a positive and lasting impact on our school, and have been realized thanks to the generous donations and hard work of our dedicated parents and community.
This Year is no different than others. Your continued support will strengthen our community and afford our children opportunities to be challenged in new and exciting ways. Your donations have currently purchased; academic supplies for every subject, twenty I pads, twenty chrome books, recreation supplies for field day, athletic supplies for all sports, WS Dash game for academic award students, and teacher recognition.

November - Band (Mrs. Pumpkin Chicken Pie Sale and World's Finest Chocolate's)
December - BETA Toys for Tots
January - Canned Food Drive - Restock the Shelves (Junior Civitans)
February - Fellowship of Christian Students and Big Brothers Big Sisters
March - Autism Awareness (Hoops for Heart)
April - EMSCC TA Fundraiser
May - Victory Junction Gang Camp (Dodgeball Tournament)
June - Locks of Love with yearbook signing (possible concessions open)
Electronic Days: 6th Graders - Funds are used to purchase educational supplies, novels, recreation materials and team rally prizes. 7th Graders - Funds are used to have an end of the year free reward activity for all seventh graders, extra snacks for the DC trip and team rally prices.
Other Fundraisers: 7th Grader - Washington DC Trip, T-Shirt Sale, Fall Belk Charity Day Sale, Womanless Beauty Pageant and Christmas Tree Sale.
PE: Donations are given to support Big Brothers Big Sisters, Hoops for Heart, Cancer Run, Toys for Tots and Storehouse for Jesus.

Open Gym: There will be two open gym dates for potential athletes to attend prior to try-outs. These open gyms are an opportunity to meet the coaches, meet other potential players, and prepare for try-outs. All athletes interested in trying out are welcome to attend.
Open Gym will be held in the gym at Ellis on the following dates:
Tuesday, August 16th 9am-11am
Thursday August 18th 9am-11am
Try-outs: Try-outs will be held over a two-day period the week before students return to school. If an athlete is unable to attend try-outs, for whatever reason, communication must be made in advance to discuss personal circumstances for other arrangements to be made. All athletes interested in trying out should attend both try-out days unless other arrangements have been made as stated previously.
MUST have current physical to try out! Physical forms are available at WEMS office.

Tuesday, August 23rd 4pm-6pm

6th Grade - Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
7th and 8th Grade - Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Girls Soccer Tryouts - Will be held after school in Ms. Reynolds room on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 and Wednesday, September 7, 2016.
Boys Soccer Tryouts - Will be held after school in Ms. Reynolds room on Thursday, September 8, 2016 and Friday, September 9, 2016.
